Personal Project: Little Snail & Bug
Little Snail & Bug are content little characters, living in a gentle and cozy world, where a trip to the grocery store or watering your garden is all that’s needed to warm your heart.
I started drawing Little Snail & Bug (Little Snail’s pet roly-poly bug) for inktober in 2019. Since then I’ve continued to revisit these characters, stopping by for a quick cup of tea or a serene stroll through the forest.
The following are original, unrevised black & white illustrations I did of Little Snail and Bug for Inktober in 2019 and soon after. I compiled the drawings into quick little stories.
A three part narrative.
It’s a rainy day, and Little Snail & Bug are having a pajama party. They are picking out their favorite books to read.
Now they’re nice and cozy with their sleeping bags and books. Little Snail is enjoying her favorite snack, Snail Mix! Bug is crunching on some popcorn.
Oh would you look at that. It looks like the pajama party was a little too cozy. Goodnight Little Snail. Sleep tight Bug.
